A BBC Gardeners’ World Magazine Best Buy for Performance, this cordless pressure cleaner comes into its own if you don’t have an outside tap for a garden hose. It’s compact, and comes with three accessories – a brush, soap bottle and foldable bucket – to help effectively wash cars, garden furniture and bikes, as well as water the garden. It comes with a three year warranty.
What are the main features of the Worx PowerShare Hydroshot Pressure Cleaner 20V WG629E.1?
This cordless pressure cleaner means you get the benefits of a pressure washer, without being attached to the mains. It’s self priming, which means it can draw water from any source, including a bucket, pool or river. It also comes with a water inlet filter on the end of the hose to prevent debris clogging up the system. The multi-spray nozzle features five settings - 0°, 25°, 40°, shower and mist, and we like that it also has two pressure modes – high pressure for tackling stubborn stains, and low pressure for gentle cleaning and watering the garden. What’s more , it has a turbo setting, which delivers a 360° jet of rotating water to cover a broader area and we found this was most effective when used with the high pressure setting. You can also attach this pressure cleaner to the mains tap for garden-based jobs, as it comes with a hose adapter. The 20V 2 AH MAX li-ion battery features a battery level indicator, which is a really useful feature for letting you know how much power you have left when working, and as it’s part of the WORX Powershare family, it can be used across other power tools in this range.
What’s the Worx PowerShare Hydroshot Pressure Cleaner 20V WG629E.1 like to use?
The Worx PowerShare Hydroshot Pressure Washer requires minimal assembly – just attach the nozzle and the hose to the lance and press the button. Once the air has emptied from the hose, which takes around 30 seconds, it cleans really efficiently and is quick and easy to change between nozzle and the two pressure settings. It comes with a foldable 10L water bucket, soap bottle and brush, so you have everything you need to get started, as well as plenty of options when it comes to cleaning. Lightweight, weighing just 1.65kg, it’s comfortable to hold and it’s fairly quiet, registering just 84dB. Operating at 22 Bar pressure, it delivers a water flow rate of 120 litres per hour and comes with a 10m hose, which is the longest in the group we tested and gives plenty of freedom. It has a 30 minute run time and takes just an hour to charge.
