These secateurs have a non-stick coated, high carbon steel blade with a metal anvil. A four-gear, heavy duty ratchet mechanism helps them slice through even the toughest wood cleanly and easily - through a series of cuts you apply pressure, release, apply pressure, release, continuing until the blades have cut the stem. They have a cutting width of 20mm and the aluminium handles have a gel grip which is soft in the hand, although it does feel a little sticky if it gets wet.
