What is the Kent and Stowe Stainless Steel Pointed Spade like?

This traditional style spade has a wide, flat, stainless steel blade with a sharpened point and foot treads. The integral FSC ash shaft and YD-handle are weatherproofed and it has a long smooth socket.

What is the Kent and Stowe Stainless Steel Pointed Spade like to use?

The long shaft and balanced design make this spade a pleasure to use. The handle is comfortable and the smooth socket means lifting and turning the soil is trouble free. The pointed stainless steel blade cuts through stony soil with ease and sturdy foot treads make digging easier by stopping the foot slipping and protecting the soles from the edge of the blade. With the widest of the pointed blades in our test, some found the blade cumbersome and difficult to manoeuvre in confined spaces.

Will the Kent and Stowe Stainless Steel Pointed Spade last?

This is a strong spade with a long socket to prevent snapping and an ash shaft and handle made form one continuous piece of wood – the shaft has been split to form the YD-handle. The stainless steel blade will stay rust free and this spade feels built to last.

Is the good Kent and Stowe Stainless Steel Pointed Spade value for money?

Crafted from quality materials and long lasting this spade comes with a warranty of 15 years. We think it's good value for money.

Who is the Kent and Stowe Stainless Steel Pointed Spade most useful for?

Ideal for anyone turning the soil, digging over large areas of difficult ground or trenching.
