What is the Greenman Ergonomic Digging Spade like?
Based on traditional design with a high carbon, stainless steel blade and an ash handle and long shaft that has been steam bent for a better digging angle and extra leverage. The socket is long and there are narrow ridged treads at the top if the blade.
What is the Greenman Ergonomic Digging Spade like to use?
This feels well balanced and strong, slicing through heavy soil easily but the long bent shaft divided testers – some found it a pleasure to use but others struggled with its length and shape. The treads were welcome but the could be wider and the criss-cross ridging is shallow and soon clogs with mud and becomes ineffective. The rivets on the capped handle and socket snagged the hands when turning soil
Will the Greenman Ergonomic Digging Spade last?
This is a well thought out, robust spade with a long, lipped socket to prevent snapping and steel caps to the Y shaped handle. The stainless steel blade has a high carbon content and is rust resistant. It is strong and well made and feels built to last

Who is the Greenman Ergonomic Digging Spade most useful for?
