What is the DeWit Solid Socket Spade like to use?
This is a beautiful, hand-crafted spade. The long shaft is comfortable and the spade feels strong and robust. The T-shaped grip, although unusual for some testers, was loved by many who found it easy on the hands and versatile for a range of digging jobs from turning the soil to trenching. The sharp, slightly curved blade deals with all soils easily and was particularly good on tough stony ground. The only thing missing for any users were treads on the blades but these are available on other DeWit models.
Will the DeWit Solid Socket Spade last?
The blade and socket are forged from a single piece of carbon steel and bolted on to a hardwood ash handle that has been turned and oiled. This is a well thought out, tough spade which should last for many years – the blade and socket for life.
Is the DeWit Solid Socket Spade good value for money?
Beautifully hand-made, from high quality materials this spade has been built to last. With a lifetime guarantee and at the low end of the premium range this is excellent value for money.
Who is the DeWit Solid Socket Spade most useful for?
Best for gardeners and allotmenteers who want a hard-working spade to cherish for life.
