What are the main features of the Kärcher LMO 18-36 cordless mower?
The 36V battery takes 134 minutes to fully charge and can then run for 24 minutes, enough time to mow up to 350m² of lawn on a single charge. The mower comes with a large, soft 45L collection bag that has a full indicator on the top and has just four different heights of cut ranging from 30-70mm. The safety plug must be inserted before it will start and it has a two-in-one mowing system that either mulches the clippings or collects them. The battery and charger are included in the price.
What is the Kärcher LMO 18-36 cordless mower like to use?
The assembly of this mower is not as smooth as some and the handles are awkward to put together but once built it is light and easy to use. The handle can be adjusted for different height users and although there are only four heights of cut - the lowest number in our trial. Height of cut is easy to adjust with a centrally located lever. The large collection box means you don’t have to keep emptying the clippings and the mulching plug is useful if you'd rather save time and energy by leaving the clippings on the lawn, as a mulch and grass feed. The battery door is stiff to open and although the battery helpfully displays the power in minutes remaining, this isn't visible when you’re mowing, so you still have to stop and check. It feels light and manoeuvres well, mowing right up to the edge.
Is the Kärcher LMO 18-36 cordless mower easy to store?
Very light and easy to lift with a carry handle on the top, the mower easily folds down flat for storage.
Is the Kärcher LMO 18-36 cordless mower good value for money?
This Kärcher LMO 18-36 comes with just a one-year warranty, but you can get an extra year if you purchase the mower directly from Karcher. It lacks some of the features of the other mowers in its price bracket and it's much lighter and less substantial than those. However, the battery and charger are interchangeable with other tools in the Käarcher 18V Universe system, saving you money if you buy more tools in the future. Therefore, we think it's good value for money.
Simple and light, this mower is best for use in smaller gardens and for those gardeners who prefer a small, manoeuvrable machine. It folds down to just the size of the mower body, so is also good for gardeners who lack storage space.
