What are the main features of the Stihl RMA 443C Battery Lawn Mower?
The 36V battery has a charge time of 165 minutes and can mow a 350m² lawn on a single charge. Although this is the longest charge time in our test, this is with the standard Stihl charger and other, faster chargers are available. It has a large 55L plastic grass box with a handy indicator that pops up when it's full and six heights of cut ranging from 25-75 mm. It has an Eco mode and a mulch plug is available to purchase for the mower at an extra cost.
What is Stihl RMA 443C Battery Lawn Mower like to use?
This comes ready to go from the Stihl dealer so there’s no tackling handle or grass box assembly with this mower. Well thought out, it has a mono handlebar design that gives easy access to the grass box and can be really easily adjusted to suit your height by simply pushing a lever. The grass box is also good, with vents to expel dust and a hinge so that it opens wide into two halves and can be emptied really easily. The height of cut is adjusted by lifting the whole mower deck up or down, which can be tricky until you get used to it and does feel a bit imprecise towards the lower levels. The power-saving Eco mode is useful, automatically adjusting the speed of the blade to the length and thickness of the grass, maximising battery life. The quiet, light and easy to handle and cuts the grass well. The only thing that would be helpful is a battery level indicator that’s visible when you’re mowing.

This mower is one of the easiest models we tested to store, with a well thought out handle that folds flat in one simple action. Only the large plastic grass box takes up room. A carry handle at the front of the deck makes for easy lifting.
