Buy the Powerbase 40V Cordless Lawnmower from Homebase

What are the main features of the Powerbase 40V Cordless Lawnmower?

With a cutting width of 34cm and the choice of five cutting heights from 25-75mm, this mower is ideal for small to medium gardens. It has both front and side combs plus a rear roller, and the fabric grass bag has a collection capacity of 35 litres and a full indicator. The two 20v batteries take 120 minutes to fully charge and have a run time of 30 minutes, long enough to cover the cutting of a 200m2 lawn.

What’s the Powerbase 40V Cordless Lawnmower like to use?

This is a well thought out mower that has been designed with ease in mind. There's a wide choice of cutting heights, which are simply adjusted with a large lever and the combs on the front and sides of the mower help it cut to the edge and right up against walls and fences, so there's no need to go round with a strimmer after cutting. A rear roller gives those much desired stripes to the lawn but this mower feels quite large and bulky, despite its narrow cutting width and it's less easy to manoeuvre around tight corners and beds and garden furniture than some of the other, similar sized mowers in our test.

Is the Powerbase 40V Cordless Lawnmower easy to store?

This mower is very easy to store and ideal for storing in a corner of a shed or where space is limited. The fabric grass bag folds flat, and quick release fixings help the handle double fold quickly, so that both sit snugly over the body of the mower without taking up any room. It also has a carry handle on the body that makes it easy to lift up steps and in and out of storage.

Is the Powerbase 40V Cordless Lawnmower good value for money?

At the budget end of our cordless mowers test, this mower has a host of features and the battery and charger are included in the price. It comes with a three year warranty but unlike most of the mowers in our review it's not part of a brand battery system so there's no money saving incentive if you were to buy other cordless tools from Homebase. We think it's good value for money.
