What are the main features of the Bosch Rotak 32 Li cordless mower?
This cordless mower comes with both a 36V, 2.0Ah lithium-ion battery and charger. The battery, which has three charge indicator lights, is fully charged in 70 minutes and its run time is the equivalent of cutting a short, 6cm, dry lawn of up to 150m2 or an 8cm dry lawn up to 100m2. However,this does depend on lawn conditions, density, moisture content and length as well as height of cut and this capacity can also be increased by purchasing a higher capacity Ah battery from Bosch. It’s also worth noting that the battery and charger can be used with the other cordless tools in Bosch's 36V Power For All range, and could save you money if you were to buy their hedge trimmer, leaf blower or grass trimmer.
The Rotak 32 Li has grass combs, so it cuts right to the edge, a cutting width of 32cm and the choice of three heights of cut, ranging from 30-60mm which are adjusted by a single handle located on the front left-hand wheel. It has an ergonomically designed handle and the plastic grass box has a collection capacity of 31 litres, but no full indicator. The mower also comes with a safety key, plus a handy spare and there's a carry handle on the body of the mower.
What is the Bosch Rotak 32 Li cordless mower like to use?
This Bosch mower comes with helpful assembly instructions and diagrams, and bar the securing of the cable into the handle, which we found confusing, this is quick and easy to put together, requiring just a screwdriver to complete the job. The ergonomic handle is easy to use and provides a comfortable, healthy pushing posture plus, the start button is in multiple positions on the handles so you can choose to mow with just one hand or two and hold the mower in a number of different places depending on what's comfortable for your height. It's quiet and the mower also feels light and is easy to move around the lawn and thanks to a carry handle on the body of the mower it's simple to carry up steps or into the shed. However, it only has a choice of three heights of cut, although these are easy to adjust, and you can’t see the battery level as you’re mowing, which would be helpful. Instead, you have to stop and walk around to the front of the mower and open the window to check. It mows and picks up well and if the grass collector doesn’t get too full is simple to empty.
Is the Bosch Rotak 32 Li cordless mower easy to store?
This mower is easy and light to lift and move around with its carry handle. However, despite its compact size it takes up a bit of room in storage. The collection box doesn’t collapse and only the top half of the handle folds down - simply unscrew and it folds flat to the lower handle.
Is the Bosch Rotak 32 Li cordless mower good value for money?
Falling within the mid-range price bracket this mower has less heights of cut and a smaller cutting width than others but it's light and comfortable to use and is handy for use on small, easy to mow lawns. It comes with a two-year warranty and we think it’s good value for money.
