What are the main features of the Al-Ko 42.9 Li SP mower?

This compact, cordless mower is powered by a 40V 4Ah lithium ion battery, which takes 90 minutes to charge. A run time of around 20 minutes makes it ideal for cutting smaller lawns up to 400m2 and it has a cutting width of 42cm. With a simple cut and collect function there's a large mesh bag with a capacity of 60L to collect the grass and this has a level indicator so you know when it needs emptying. There are seven different heights of cut, between 30 and 75mm and these are easily adjusted with a single lever. The mower has a brushless motor and a sturdy steel deck and the battery and charger are included in the price
This mower is part of the Al-Ko Energy Flex system and the battery and charger are interchangeable with other cordless tools in the system, saving you money if you buy more tools in the future.

What is the Al-Ko 42.9 Li SP cordless mower like to use?

Solidly made with a simple design this mower is easy to use. An LED display on the battery lets you know when it’s ready to recharge and it has an ergonomic handle with a rubber grip that’s comfortable to hold. It feels light and easy to turn and manoeuvre around the lawn. It’s self-propelled with a decent single speed but it’s not especially fast. It was one of the quieter models in our test.

Is the Al-Ko 42.9 Li SP cordless mower easy to store?

Light and compact this mower is easy to move around the garden and back into the shed. A carry handle on the front of the deck makes it easy to lift up steps or onto a shelf and the handle folds down so it takes up less room in storage. The mesh collection bag can be detached and laid down flat on top of the deck.
