Meet the winner of our Gardens of the Year Competition 2022, Nicola House. She reveals how she created her informal, wildlife-friendly garden, and how it feels to be chosen as Judges' Choice
Each year, we hold a competition to find the nation’s best amateur gardens, whittling down hundreds of entries from all over the UK to just 8 finalists who have created something really special – whether that’s a balcony filled with containers, an allotment dedicated to flowers or a relaxing family garden. Our judges – TV presenters Alan Titchmarsh and Arit Anderson and garden designer Anne Marie-Powell – then choose their favourite finalist, the Judge’s Choice.
