Viola 'Sorbet Ruby Gold Babyface'

Closely related to garden pansies, violas tend to have smaller flowers, and are usually more tolerant of summer heat. Like pansies, violas are used in bedding displays, hanging baskets and patio containers, and work well when grown with spring-flowering bulbs. The flowers of many species are edible and may be eaten in salads.

Viola ‘Sorbet Ruby Gold Babyface’ is part of the Sorbet series of violas, which are prized for their winter hardiness. ‘Sorbet Ruby Gold Babyface’ has velvety maroon flowers with a large yellow centre and maroon ‘whiskers’. For best results, deadhead regularly to prolong flowering, trim plants back in June to tidy up the foliage and encourage further flowering, and then divide plants in September.
