Species tulips often have more natural-looking blooms than their hybrid relatives. Tulipa humilis has delicate, star-shaped, white flowers with blue basal markings from early- to mid-spring. Attractive grey-green leaves set off the blooms. It looks impressive planted in containers and in borders.
Grow Tulipa humilis in well-drained soil in full sun. Allow foliage to die down fully after flowering.
