The triplet lilies, Triteleia, are summer-flowering bulbs bearing pretty sprays of flowers at the top of wiry stems, not dissimilar to those of agapanthus. Dependable and easy to grow, triteleias make fantastic cut flowers and are attractive to pollinating insects. They produce little in the way of foliage, so are great for growing through other plants without shading them out too much.
Triteleia laxa 'White Cloud' (previously known as Brodiaea laxa) has beautiful pure white flowers, with petals that flare out, giving each flower a starry appearance. It looks fantastic planted in drifts.
For best results, grow Triteleia laxa 'White Cloud' in full sun in light, well-drained and fertile soil. Avoid planting in soil that is excessively wet in winter.
