Painted daisies are old-fashioned perennials that have always been popular as cut flowers. Foliage is bright green and ferny, with upright stems bearing loads of single yellow-eyed daisies, in shades of white, pink or crimson red.

Tanacetum coccineum 'Robinson’s Red' is a delightful red-flowered variety. Flowers grow on strong stems and are long-lived, so are perfect for cutting. It's perfect for growing in a sunny border in moist but well-drained soil, as well as containers on the patio. Remove faded flowers to encourage more buds to form and cut down stems after blooming to rejuvenate the foliage.
