Salad potatoes have grown in popularity in recent years, thanks to their delicious flavour and waxy texture. Solanum tuberosum 'Rocket' produces very early crops of potatoes with near-white skin flesh that remain firm on cooking.

For best results dig over the soil well and incorporate plenty of compost or rotted manure before planting. Water the tubers thoroughly two weeks before lifting. Solanum tuberosum 'Rocket' potatoes are delicious boiled or steamed.
