The pink ragwort, Senecio polyodon is a charming clump-forming perennial hailing from South Africa and valued for its profuse purple-pink flowers, borne for months on end.

It thrives in the sun, so Senecio polyodon makes a fantastic addition to a gravel garden or edging a sunny path. Try planting it in flowing drifts with oriental poppies and gaillardias.

For best results, grow Senecio polyodon in full sun in well-drained soil. Cut it back in autumn when it's looking past its best.
