Rhododendron 'Marcel Menard'

Rhododendrons make up an incredibly diverse group of plants, originating from many parts of the Northern hemisphere with a large concentration in China and the Himalayas. These plants vary from tiny ground covering plants to species growing as understory plants in forests. Most flower in early spring, although some bear flowers for a brief period in autumn.

Rhododendron ‘Marcel Menard’ is a tough variety, with dark green foliage and dark purple flowers that show a greenish speckling. Grow in moist but well-drained, acidic soil in full sun or shade. Plants need minimal pruning.
