Gallica roses are extremely old varieties, known for their intense coloured flowers with closely packed petals. Typically they have an upright, stocky habit. They bloom once, usually in early summer. Some cultivars flower for a period of just three weeks, but many flower for up to six weeks.
Rosa 'Charles de Mills' is a gorgeous gallica rose, bearing fully double, magenta-pink flowers with an intense fragrance. It's ideal for growing in a mixed or shrub border or as an informal, flowering hedge. With its upright and arching in habit, Rosa 'Charles de Mills' performs best in fertile, moist, but well-drained soil in full sun.
