Jasminum are evergreen or decidous shrubs that often climb via twining stems. Their fragrant flowers are star-shaped.

Jasminum officinale is a sweetly scented climber, bearing dark green pinnate leaves – the perfect foil for its clusters of fragrant white flowers from June to August. It's a versatile, deciduous climber, which tolerates shade but does best in full sun.

Jasminum officinale 'Argenteovariegatum' is an extremely attractive cultivar, bearing long, twining stems of variegated leaves in green, pink and cream, and white summer flowers.

Grow Jasminum officinale 'Argenteovariegatum' in moist but well-drained soil in a sheltered, sunny, site. It grows quickly, and is ideal for covering a large south or west-facing wall.
