Acidic / Clay / Heavy / Moist / Well Drained / Light / Sandy
Narcissus 'Jack Snipe' is an elegant daffodil, with just one flower to a stem. Its early flowers are slightly drooping, yellow and white with long trumpets and swept-back petals. It's perfect for growing in a spring border, naturalising in lawns or using as part of a spring container display. It makes a pretty cut flower.
Unlike other daffodils, Narcissus 'Jack Snipe' prefers slightly acid, moist soil. It seeds very freely and, if the bulbs are to be encouraged to spread rapidly, the faded blooms should not be deadheaded. The Royal Horticultural Society has given it its prestigious Award of Garden Merit (AGM).
