Lupins are classic summer bedding plants, their flowering period coinciding with the first flush of roses. Their lush, grey-green leaves emerge in April, hiding the last of the fading daffodil foliage. The flowers are tall, upright spikes, densely packed with rows of small pea flowers.
Lupinus 'Cashmere Cream' bears pale pink and yellow flowers, with a gentle fragrance, for up to eight weeks. For best results grow in full sun in moist but well-drained soil, and protect young plants from slugs and snails. Deadhead spent flowers to encourage repeat-blooming. Lupinus 'Cashmere Cream' has a bushy, upright habit and therefore doesn't need staking.
