Filmed exclusively for Secret Garden in early 2018, Monty reveals how it was the coldest winter at Longmeadow since 2010, with the most snow. There were broken branches, tumbling tripods and collapsing grasses to contend with, as well as flash flooding from neighbouring fields.
Not to be deterred by this battering, he reveals in this video how Longmeadow limbers up for the season ahead, with snowdrops, hellebores and witch hazel providing welcome winter colour. Indoors, in the greenhouse, Monty shows off his citrus collection, a source of lemon for his gin and tonics.
