Lathyrus odoratus 'Mars'

Sweet peas can be trained to grow up canes for high-quality blooms, or allowed to scramble up a trellis or obelisk. They make excellent cut flowers. Plants need a cool moist root run, and regular watering in dry weather.

Lathryrus odoratus ‘Mars' is a gorgeous sweet pea, bearing white flowers with red stripes (known as a ‘flake’). It grows to a height of 180cm, and will quickly cover a trellis or obelisk.

For best results, feed Lathyrus odoratus 'Mars' with a high potash fertiliser once a fortnight, and cut blooms regularly to prolong flowering.
