Lathyrus odoratus 'Air Warden'

Sweet peas can be trained to grow up canes for high-quality blooms, or allowed to scramble up a trellis or obelisk. They make excellent cut flowers. Plants need a cool moist root run, and regular watering in dry weather.

Lathyrus odoratus ‘Air Warden’ is an old-fashioned Spencer variety, bearing frilled, bright scarlet blooms with a good fragrance. It’s a great choice for the garden and cutting for home use.

For best results, feed Lathyrus odoratus ‘Air Warden’ fortnightly with a high-potash fertiliser, and deadhead regularly to prolong flowering.
