Field scabious, Knautia arvensis, is an attractive wildflower, bearing pin-cushion-like flowers in the palest lilac, on tall, wiry stems. Perfect for the herbaceous border or a wildflower meadow, its blooms are adored by bees and butterflies. It makes an excellent cut flower.
Grow Knautia arvensis in moist but well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade.
