Juglans regia 'Broadview' is the most commonly grown walnut in Britain. Self-fertile and hardy, it's perfect for the British climate, and all but the smallest gardens. Nuts are produced after three to five years.

For best results grow Juglans regia 'Broadview' in moist but well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade. Prune annually to maximise fruiting potential and contain growth. Walnuts can be harvested when green for pickling, or left until autumn to be dried and stored.
