Impatiens omeiana is a busy Lizzie that hails from China. It has eye-catching, bright yellow flowers and variegated foliage and looks good in a jungle or exotic planting scheme. It propagates by underground stolons, but is not invasive.

Grow Impatiens omeiana in moist, well-drained soil that doesn't dry out. It prefers part to full shade. In milder areas it should come through the winter unscathed; mulch around the base in autumn. If growing in a pot, you will need to bring it under cover in winter to protect from frost.
