Lacecaps and mopheads are the most commonly grown hydrangeas in our gardens. Mopheads have full, round heads of large petals, and lacecaps have flattish flower heads of large outer petals and tiny flowers in the centre.
Hydrangea macrophylla 'Veitchii' is a compact, lacecap hydrangea with glossy leaves and small blue flowers ringed with large white florets which mature to pink.
'Veitchii’ is perfect for growing in a mixed, herbaceous border, especially when used in conjunction with other hydrangeas. It makes an excellent cut flower.
