Heucheras are native to the woodlands of North America. They tend to grow in dense clumps and have brightly coloured foliage. They thrive in shade and make great groundcover plants. While plants are mainly grown for their foliage, inconspicuous flowers in summer add to their charm.
Heuchera ‘Fire Alarm’ has incredible bright red leaves – and is one of the reddest heucheras available. Pink-white flowers are borne in summer. ‘Fire Alarm’ is ideal for growing in a mixed herbaceous border in partial shade, and is also well suited to growing in containers on a shady patio, for a dramatic display.
