Hemerocallis 'Red Twister'

Flowering late in the season, Hemerocallis 'Red Twister' is the perfect daylily for a splash of late-summer colour, bearing fiery orange-red blooms with an orange-yellow throat and margins. Exotic looking, it’s the perfect choice for a tropical-themed ornamental border, and looks fabulous in a pot.

Its elegant blooms appear for weeks on end, although individual flowers last only one day. Despite the short-lived bloom-time, it’s perfect for using as a cut flower as the flower buds are just as interesting as the bloom themselves. In milder regions its strap-like foliage is evergreen, which is excellent for hiding unsightly spring bulbs after they have flowered.

For best results grow Hemerocallis 'Red Twister' in well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade. Cut back after flowering. Divide clumps every three to five years.
