Euphorbia epithymoides has dark green, lance-shaped leaves, which perfectly complement its bright yellow, star-shaped flowers. Perennial, Euphorbia epithymoides flowers earlier than other varieties, and has a short flowering season. However, it adds interest to the border in autumn as its foliage turns a dramatic bronze colour.
Always wear gloves when working with euphorbias. The milky sap is a skin irritant.
