Echinaceas have grown in popularity in recent years, thanks to the trend for prairie-style planting. They're easy to grow as they tolerate most soils, and their sturdy nature means that staking is unnecessary.

The Butterfly series has been bred to produce hardy, drought-tolerant and compact echinaceas which bloom over a long period. Flowers have single petals and don’t lose their colour with age. Echinacea 'Rainbow Marcella' has gorgeous apricot-orange blooms which gradually mature to soft pink, and can be both colours at the same time. It’s perfect for a container or the front of the border where it will attract plenty of butterflies and other pollinators.

Grow Echinacea 'Rainbow Marcella' at the front of the border or in containers, in full sun.
