Digitalis 'Illumination Pink' is an exciting new hybrid of our native species, Digitalis purpurea, with the Canary Island foxglove, Isoplexis, which gives its blooms a fantastic tropical colouration. Unlike Digitalis purpurea it’s truly perennial and semi-evergreen. What’s more, as it’s completely sterile, Digitalis ‘Illumination Pink’ won’t set seed but will continue flowering for months on end. Orange-pink flowers are borne on sturdy stems, making this an ideal choice for the mixed border or vase.
Grow Digitalis 'Illumination Pink' in moist but well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade. Deadhead spent blooms and feed fortnightly with a potash-rich fertiliser.
