Clematis tangutica 'Golden Tiara' is a late-flowering clematis, bearing yellow lantern-like flowers followed by large, fluffy seedheads. It's well-suited to growing up a trellis or obelisk, and may be trained to scramble through trees. Its flowers have a gentle, pleasing fragrance and its seedheads are used by birds to build their nests.

Grow Clematis tangutica 'Golden Tiara' in rich, well-drained soil with the roots shaded, in full sun or partial shade. Falling into Pruning Group Three, pruning is easy: simply cut stems back to the lowest pair of buds in February or March.
