A Japanese cross between Clematis florida var. sieboliana and Clematis 'Rubra', it's ideal for clothing a trellis or growing in a container where it can be trained up an obelisk, or allowed to scramble through shrubs and trees for a more natural look.

Being a summer-flowering clematis,Clematis 'Night Veil' is in Pruning Group Three. Simply cut stems back to the lowest pair of buds in February or March.
