Carex comans 'Bronzita' is an attractive, mound-forming plant with tufts of fine, thread-like, evergreen leaves. It resembles a grass, but is actually a species of sedge. Most of those sold in garden centres have reddish-bronze foliage and may be labelled as bronze, although plants are naturally variable and some have greenish-yellow leaves.

Carex comans 'Bronzita' is a bronze-leaved carex, ideal for adding foliage interest to a border of herbaceous perennials and grasses. It also works well in container displays as a foil for colourful flowers. Grow Carex comans 'Bronzita' in moist but well-drained soil in full sun.
