Campanulas are much valued for their bell-like, flowers (usually blue) and long flowering season. Traditionally used in cottage garden schemes, campanulas look particularly lovely when grown under shrub roses. The flowers are extremely attractive to bees and other pollinators.
Flowering throughout summer and autumn, Campanula 'Iridescent Bells' bears clusters of purple buds, which open to large lilac-silver bells. For best results grow campanulas in light shade between shrubs or taller perennials, but keep them near the front of the border, or they tend to get lost among more vigorous plants.
