Campanula carpatica is one of the most popular and easily grown alpine campanula species, having very large wide open flowers. Most varieties have white or blue flowers, borne from early to late summer.

Campanula carpatica 'Blaue Clips' is a pretty campanula with purple-blue flowers. It's easy to grow, forming low-growing mounds of foliage with upward-facing bell-shaped flowers from midsummer and into September. It's useful for growing in rockeries and alpine troughs and is robust enough to plant at the front of a border where it will bring pockets of colour to summer displays.

For best results grow Campanula carpatica 'Blaue Clips' in moist but well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade. Deadhead spent blooms to prolong flowering.
