Calycanthus 'Venus' is a hybrid Carolina allspice, bearing large, fragrant, magnolia-like blooms. Flowering is most dramatic in early summer, but intermittent, smaller flushes continue throughout summer and into autumn. Fully hardy, it’s perfect for a variety of garden situations.

Grow Calycanthus 'Venus' in full sun in fertile, moist but well-drained soil, ideally in a sheltered spot away from wind. While pruning is not necessary, you may need to remove dead and damaged stems in late winter to early spring.
