Peruvian lilies, Alstroemeria, are among the most showy of perennials, with their spectacular large, brightly streaked flowers.

Alstroemeria ‘Fougere’ has gorgeous white flowers splashed with yellow and pink-purple in the throat, topped with burgundy streaks. It's superb planted in groups along a path edge, or grouped informally in a sheltered sunny border. It makes an excellent cut flower, with the blooms lasting for up to two weeks in water.

Grow Alstroemeria 'Fougere’ in a sheltered spot in moist but well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade. Stake them so they don’t collapse in the wind or rain, and keep picking the flowers for cutting, or deadheading – pull from the root and they will continue to flower for months. Not fully hardy, mulch for the first two winters to protect the rootball.
