Chalky / Alkaline / Clay / Heavy / Moist / Well Drained / Light / Sandy
Allium 'Spider' is a hybrid between Allium schubertii and Alliumatropurpureum. It bears spiky, 'firework' flowerheads with star-shaped, dark purple florets with bright green centres. It's a fantastic choice for large containers and sunny borders, and works well when planted in drifts with ornamental grasses and other alliums. It also looks wonderful in a vase.
For best results, plant bulbs in fertile, well-drained soil up to three times their diameter. Grow in Allium 'Spider' in well-drained soil, in full sun.
