Achilleas are short-lived perennials with flat, plate-like umbels which stand tall above fern-like foliage. Achillea 'Credo' is a tall-growing variety, bearing yellow blooms that fade to cream with maturity. It’s perfect for a sunny spot at the back of an informal, mixed herbaceous border, and works well with a number of other flower types and colours. It makes a fantastic cut flower.
Grow Achillea 'Credo' in moist but well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade. Stake plants before flowering. Deadhead spent blooms to prolong flowering and either cut back blooms in autumn or leave the seedbeds in situ for the birds. Lift and divide congested clumps every three years, in autumn or spring.
