Acer palmatum 'Shindeshojo'

Acer palmatum is a deciduous, woody shrub native to parts of Asia and Russia. There are many garden-worthy cultivars available, which have been bred for their leaf shapes and colours.

Acer palmatum 'Shindeshojo' is a compact, bushy maple. Leaves open red and become green speckled with white, before turning red-orange in autumn. It is well suited to growing in small gardens, and may also be grown in a large pot.

For best results, grow Acer palmatum 'Shindeshojo' in sun or partial shade, and protect it from the harshest winds, which may cause leaf scorch.
