Many herbal remedies are easy to make at home using home-grown ingredients, providing relief for the symptoms of coughs and colds.
This onion and honey solution is a simple remedy for coughs – the onion has antibacterial properties and the honey soothes sore throats. Don't be put off by the onion flavour; the inclusion of honey ensures that the mixture is satisfyingly sweet.
Take one teaspoonful four to five times a day until symptoms improve. If symptoms persist after a week, consult your doctor.
Make your own natural cough mixture from onion and honey in just four steps.
