Back by popular demand, BBC Gardeners’ World Magazine brings you another opportunity to join us for a day out at Gravetye Manor in West Sussex. This picturesque Elizabethan Manor House, built in 1598, is a centre for both culinary and horticultural excellence.
The gardens at Gravetye Manor are a unique feature, originally created by William Robinson in 1885 and now considered one of the most important historic gardens in England.
This reader day offers you the memorable opportunity to discover the history of the gardens as well as explore their exceptional beauty today. In a fascinating talk, Head Gardener Tom Coward will explain who William Robinson was, and also tell you about the garden restoration undertaken since 2010. After lunch, Head Florist Sharon Coote will demonstrate how she works with the gardening team to create the perfect cutting garden.
