Michael Holland, a freelance nature educator and author, has been passionate about plants since he was eight years old. After studying Ecology at Lancaster and Oregon State Universities, he spent 25 years at Chelsea Physic Garden in London where he became the Head of Education. He recently joined the Education Committee of the RHS and continues to share his passion for plants and their importance in our lives. His first book, I Ate Sunshine for Breakfast, highlights the crucial role that plants play in our diets and overall health and won the Garden Media Guild's 'Best Gardening Book Award' in 2020.
