Kathy Slack

Kathy Slack is an award-winning cook, veg grower and writer. Her cookbook, From the Veg Patch (Ebury), was named one of the Top 25 cookbooks in 2021 by Delicious magazine and shortlisted for The Guild of Food Writers Award for Best Cookbook. Her next book, Rough Patch (Little, Brown), is a memoir with recipes. Kathy began her life in food at Daylesford Organic Farm before becoming a full time writer and presenter. She is Fortnum & Mason’s vegetable expert and gives talks and demonstrations focusing on growing and cooking your own food. She writes seasonal, veg-centric recipes for various magazine and brands, and also writes the Substack newsletter, Tales from the Veg Patch.
