Within the 18th-century walls are productive kitchen gardens, ancient fruit trees, a Victorian greenhouse, herbaceous borders and an extensive herb garden, along with fascinating remnants of horticultural technology from past eras. There are also walks around the ornamental lake and through the parkland.
