Described as a living work of art when it first opened nearly 300 years ago, this elegant landscape garden is now world famous. Centred around a glistening lake, it offers meandering paths and breathtaking views, with classical temples to catch the eye, a Palladian bridge, hidden grotto, magnificent trees, richly coloured rhododendrons and exotic magnolias. The circular lakeside walk is a delight in every season, with wildlife to spot and new vistas around every bend, while the lawns are perfect for picnics.
